Update on the GiveWorship Project

I wanted to give you an update on the GiveWorship Project. Tonight I am happy to report that my team put money together to buy something for the project as my Christmas gift this year. They were able to purchase an acoustic guitar, two packs of strings, two sets of picks, two straps, and four CDs for a worship leader in the Dominican Republic! I am very excited about this and it means so much to me that they did this and participated in this way.

Here's the total of what has been sent so far:

1 acoustic bass guitar, 2 electric guitar packs with cases and amps, 2 acoustic guitars, 3 straps, 3 sets of strings, 3 sets of picks, 8 CDs, 1 monster cable.

It is still amazing to me that I easily have more equipment than this in my front room!

I am leaving the project open because you still have time to participate. While it's exciting to see a guitar bought, we still need cables, stands, CDs, capos and the like. These items range in price from $10-30 so they are easy for an individual to buy. So see the wish lists below and take a moment to encourage a worship leader in Guatemala or the DR.

Merry Christmas!

Welcome to the GiveWorship Project

Give Worship Contest   β€œLet the whole world bless our God and sing aloud His praises.” - Psalm 66:8

The Purpose of the GiveWorship Project is to give hope and encouragement to worship leaders around the world as they lead their churches to encounter God in worship by providing them with needed resources. I hope you will prayerfully watch the video, read this information and join us!

Why this type of project? As a worship leader my main desire is to see the glory and praises of the Lord known and declared in ALL the earth, not just in Madison, Alabama. If we truly believe that worshiping God is important and spiritually transforming, we should be committed to seeing it happen outside the walls of our own personal church. We all have so many resources and so much equipment! We have so much when others have so little - perhaps it's time to share.

What You Can Do to Participate:

This Christmas we are asking that you and your worship teams, or another group you are involved in, take this opportunity to buy an instrument, CD, or other equipment on our wish lists and all equipment will be sent directly to the missions organizations. There is something for all price ranges listed! (deadline for ordering is December 17th)

It's easy to participate:
1) Just go to the wish lists and order what you wish.

2)  Have the items shipped to the missions organization contact person at the addresses listed above - they will take it to the field after Christmas.

This would be a wonderful group project for your team this year and my goal is that we would send every single one of these resources to the field this year. You can read about the organizations that will be distributing these resources and see pictures on our other pages.

Mark Labberton said it best: β€œ Worship turns out to be the dangerous act of waking up to God and to the purposes of God in the world, and then living lives that actually show it.”
